Parquet varnish
Bleaching Matt
Wear resistant bleaching matt varnish, aqueous polyurethane-acrylic based, for parquet and wooden floors, with UV filter and tannin inhibitor.
Application
This anti-yellowing, elastic and sealant water-based interior finish gives unstained wooden floors a “natural wood colour” and adds a “faded” appearance to darker wood types and wooden floors stained using DevoNatural Colour. Indoors, DevoNatural Finish Bleaching Matt can also be applied to wooden doors, furniture, ceilings, etc. For wooden floors, only apply the product on chamfered parquets and conventional wooden floors. The “faded” appearance depends on the tannic acid content of the wood. Do not use on merbau!

Special characteristics: Bleached finish, wear resistant and elastic, seals the parquet and gives it a stunning bleached effect. The parquet varnish is practically invisible. The floor can first be stained using DevoNatural Colour. The product can also be applied on the interior side of wooden doors, furniture, ceilings and other porous surfaces.
Instructions
Surface preparation: The surface must be dry, thoroughly cleaned and free of grease, oil, wax and dust.
Product preparation: Shake well and stir before use.
Application: Minimum 2-3 coats, depending on the desired wear resistance.
Application using a roller or varnish/lacquer brush: Apply the 1st coat using a brush, board by board, following the direction of the edge of each board, followed by a 2nd and 3rd coat using a brush or roller. First apply in transversal direction to the wood grain and then along the grain. Carefully apply in strokes (max. 60 cm for small surfaces and 20 cm for large surfaces), using a sufficient amount of the product and allowing the strokes to merge. Retouch with a soft brush, in order to prevent any streaks from appearing.
Airless pistol: nozzle/nozzle orifice: 0.2 – 0.3; pressure: 80 – 120 bar.
Air pistol: nozzle/nozzle orifice: 1 – 2 mm; pressure: 2 – 3 bar.
Drying time: Dust dry after 2 - 3 hours.
Finish coat: After 5 - 6 hours, sand by hand or using a machine. Sand after the first coat using a 150 grit sanding disc. Between the 2nd and 3rd coat, sand using a 220 grit sanding disc.
Dry enough to walk on: after 4 hours.
Full curing time: 7 days.
Working temperature: Do not apply at temperatures below 12°C or above 25°C.
Consumption: 10 - 14 m²/litre per coat, 3 coats.
Clean tools: Using water.
Maintenance: 3 weeks after applying the finish coat, using DevoNatural Soft Cleaner and DevoNatural Polish. See also the DevoNatural maintenance sheets for varnished floors.
Shelf life: Minimum 1 year if kept in properly sealed packaging. Protect against frost and high temperatures.
Caution: Before use, please shake the product well and check the colour!
